Youths smash car window throwing object from bridge on M61
Police have been called after reports of two youths throwing objects off a motorway bridge.
The two were spotted on the overbridge of the M61 at junction four, at the exit of the Watergate Lane roundabout, in Over Hulton.
An object was thrown off the bridge which police say smashed a car window.
Police have now been deployed to the scene.
A North West Motorway Police spokesman said: "We have just taken a report of two youths on the overbridge M61 Junction four.
"They have thrown an object off the bridge which has smashed a drivers car window.
"We are deploying on a grade one response to the scene and the overbridge. If this is your route, please be careful."
