Bolton Wanderers launch surprise family fun day to welcome supporters back
WANDERERS will welcome supporters back into the University of Bolton Stadium for the first time since February 2020 with a surprise community event on Sunday, July 25.
Ian Evattâs side will do a live training session on the pitch from 11am â" and the squad will finish off with a special crossbar challenge to entertain the fans.
The ticket-only event will run from 10am to 3pm and those who present their tickets at the turnstiles of block L in the Nat Lofthouse East Stand, will then be able to access a first team signing session at Bolton Central from 1pm.
There will be live music and entertainment provided by Bolton FM and local groups throughout the day.
Only a limited number of tickets will be available for the event, which will be used as a âdry runâ for the upcoming home games against Blackburn Rovers and MK Dons.
Supporters are encouraged to make a small donation to Bolton Wanderers in the Community to help support the work they do to engage with local communities in Bolton.

Tickets can be ordered online only by clicking here. All tickets for this event will be digital or âPrint at Homeâ. Tickets will be dispatched to the lead purchaserâs email address after the completion of their booking.
Bolton Wanderers CEO Neil Hart said: âThis event marks a significant step for supporters returning to live stadium sporting events and we will be delighted to safely welcome home our fans to the University of Bolton Stadium for the first time in over 18 months.
âExcitement is building ahead of the new campaign and I know that Ian and the players are looking forward to meeting our supporters.
âThe event will also benefit Bolton Wanderers in the Community whose work continues to help connect the football club with our town and community.
Bolton Wanderers in the Community CEO Phil Mason added: âThe University of Bolton Stadium has been a quiet place without Bolton Wanderers supporters and this event will be special for everybody.
âBWitC has played a pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic by reaching out to those who have felt isolated by the social restrictions that have been in place.
âThis has been achieved by the support we have received from our partners and by all those who have helped to raise funds.
âAll donations will help BWitC to continue making a positive difference to the lives of people living within Bolton.
âThe event is a shining example of our one club, one community, one town vision.â
Supporters are reminded that if they are isolating or displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms, not to attend the event.
